Tips for leather care
Tips for leather care of your HIDALGO product
Our leather is vegetable tanned and free from harmful substances. The process is 100% environmentally friendly. Vegetable tanning makes the leather more durable and skin-friendly, making it better for people and animals.
Our saddles and other leather products are made for you by hand with great care.
As leather is a natural product, small imperfections, slight color variations and scars cannot be ruled out and are therefore not covered by any guarantee.
To maintain the high quality of your product, you should clean sweat and dirt from the smooth leather at regular intervals and then grease it well. For optimum cleaning and care of the leather, it is best to use saddle soap and leather balm or leather grease.
The leather should first be carefully cleaned with the special soap, dried and then well greased. Remove excess grease the next day with a cloth.
Don't forget to clean and grease the underside of the saddle and the hard-to-reach areas.
Parts made of nubuck or suede leather must not be treated with soap or greasy agents. Nubuck and suede should only be roughened. You can use a shoe brush designed for this purpose.
It is also advisable to impregnate suede or nubuck leather parts before use and at regular intervals. You can use a water and dirt-repellent nanotech spray for this purpose. You can buy this in drugstores, for example.
With regular cleaning and care, you can increase the lifespan of your leather products and enjoy them for a long time!
