Hidalgo’s St. Louis cavesson review

„I am quite pleased with Hidalgo’s St. Louis cavesson.  While no single piece of tack is going to fit every horse, this was created with equine anatomy in mind.  Having a longer distance on the top section of the noseband from cheek piece to cheek piece it allows for clearance of the facial crest of the horse unlike any other cavesson on the market.  I also love the versatility of this piece of equipment.  With the bit hangers, you can ride from a bit, the cavesson rings, the sidepull rings or a combination of them.  My horse does not have room in his mouth for two bits.  A double bridle would never be something he could comfortably carry due to his anatomy (which is common in a lot of horses).  The St. Louis allows me to have the function of a double bridle, but using the cavesson rings like the snaffle for stelling, and then attach a separate set of reins to a curb bit to encourage roundness and telescoping of the neck.  This is a high quality, versatile piece of tack that discerning equestrian will love.“
